Description

Save more than 25% with our set of 16th Century Animal Icons cross stitch. In this bundle you’ll receive the full set of six patterns including the griffin, turkey, grasshopper, longtail lizard, spotted dog, and starling.

All of these little designs were first published in a 16th Century book of cross stitch patterns. You can see from the gallery images we stitched them up using DMC white on black Aida cloth, but you could experiment with other colours too.

Historically, animal designs were highly symbolic and used to generate the energy of love, luck, protection, courage, prosperity, fertility, wisdom, and insight.

We’ve framed ours inside bunting cards but there are loads more possibilities.
