Description
A Garden Stroll Cross Stitch Pattern is a celebration of friendship and floral gardens. It’s a replica of an 1877 painting of the same name by French painter Auguste Toulmouche and features two fashionably dressed young ladies taking a stroll among the roses (with their frilled parasols and lace growns). It’s a truly beautiful piece.
The Project
This is a very large, full coverage project that measures 54.4cm x 76.6cm (320 x 420 stitches) when stitched on 14 count Aida cloth. We think you’ll appreciate the incredible detail that brings to life the smiling facial features, delicate lace gowns, garden flowers and foliage. Even better are the gorgeous DMC pastels — Baby Blue, Lavender, Apple Blossom, Tender Green, and Winter White.
PLEASE NOTE: We recommend using the Pattern Keeper App to manage this challenging project, look for the extra PK chart in your download pack.
The Artist
We are big fans of Auguste Toulmouche and have a growing collection of cross stitch projects that replicate his art. We especially love his interpretation of the French bustle and the way he creates shimmering textures in the fabrics.
