American Gothic Cross Stitch Pattern

$5.99 USD

How about cross stitching yourself a piece of American folklore and popular culture? It’s a replica of the incredibly famous painting by Grant Wood.

Description

American Gothic cross stitch pattern is our tribute to the 1930 Grant Wood painting. This fantastic artwork is owned by the Art Institute of Chicago and is one of the most recognisable symbols of  rural America.

The Project

This project is a large full coverage cross stitch that measures 54.1cm x 65.7cm when stitched on 14-count Aida cloth (298 x 362 grid size). We’ve taken great care to create a beautiful piece that closely resembles the original artwork, especially the couple’s eerie facial expressions, sharp pitchfork points, and floral print apron.

You’ll need 140 different DMC colours and 107,876 cross stitches to recreate this American masterpiece. But don’t worry, we’ve included an extra chart in your download pack that works perfectly with the Pattern Keeper App. PK is a great way to manage full coverage projects.

More Grant Wood?
