Description
Anime Warrior Girl cross stitch is a replica of a Marvin Raphael acrylic painting. With his permission we’ve charted it for you to stitch in DMC dark blue, dusty rose and topaz.
The Warrior
She’s a school-girl by day, but at night Marvin Raphael’s Tsubame transforms into a thug fighting feminist. Now you can cross stitch this super-cool diva in her platform boots, flairs, and cute cute hair.
The Painting
In Monfort’s own words …
“It was over a weekend I dreamed up Tsubame and her troupe of Japanese school-girl warriors, then painted her onto canvas in thick textured oils. Tsubame is the cutest (but deadliest) of the Cyberteam, and unites with a glamorous winged robot to defend and protect Akihabara. Of course she’s capable of saving the world, but I imagine Tsubame as someone willing to defend grassroots causes and feminist issues close to the ground. Even on bad hair days.”
