$6.42 USD

Easy Retro Cross Stitch

How about stitching this handsome duck among the garden stems and flowers?

We just love the amazing line and contrast in this design — it will look amazing on a bright wall or canvas tote bag.

Description

Our Duck in the Garden cross stitch pattern was inspired by an old woodcut design by Dutch painter and graphic artist Julie de Graag. It was part of a series of four (created between 1923 and 1924).

This handsome duck is easy to complete and a great project for beginners — just use black Aida cloth and complete only the white stitches.

We love how the artist has used just a few single lines to represent tall grass and garden flowers — and we’ve done our best to replicate those into your cross stitch project.

The Artist

Julie de Graag was an amazing Dutch painter and grahpic artist who lived between 1877 and 1924. Her drawings and paintings focused on everyday subjects like domestic pets, farm animals, insects and living creatures from the garden. Browse the store for more Art Nouveau designs by Julie de Graag.
