Art Deco cross stitch

Looking for a something colourful, retro, and not too difficult to cross stitch?

We think you’ll love stitching this Art Deco landscape in DMC Turquoise, Celadon and Apple Green.

Description

Ice House on Lake Superior cross stitch was inspired by a 1923 painting by Canadian artist Lawren Harris. We love how the artist has shone the daylight from the top left corner and created stunning shadows over the snow, ice house and mountains.

We are thrilled to recreate this stunning artwork for cross stitch and think you’ll have lots of stun stitching large colour blocks in varying blue, green, and yellow tones.

The Project

This winter project is a large, full coverage cross stitch and measures 45.4 x 37.4cm when stitched on 14 count Aida cloth. You’ll need 29 different DMC floss colours to complete the 51,500 stitches.

The Artist

Lawren Harris was a Canadian painter, famous for his stunning snowscapes in and around Lake Superior. If you like winter cross stitch browse our store category inspired by the artwork of Lawren Harris.
