Description
In the Library Cross Stitch Pattern is a gorgeous scene featuring a young society girl reading her favourite book — in a stunning velvet bustled gown. It’s a replica of the 1872 painting Dans la bibliothĆØque by French artist Auguste Toulmouche.
The Project
This is a very large, full coverage project that measures 54.4 x 95.2cm (300 x 525 stitches) when stitched on 14 count Aida cloth. We recommend using the Pattern Keeper App to manage this complex project, look for the extra PK chart in your download pack.
The Artist
Auguste Toulmouche was a French realist painter who lived between 1829 and 1890. He was famous for his paintings of fashionable dressed women in brightly coloured scenes.
