Description
Innocence Cross Stitch Pattern is a replica of the beautiful 1893 painting L’Innocence by William-Adolphe Bouguereau. The original design is an inspirational Christian scene of Mary with her baby Jesus.
The Project
This is a very large, full coverage cross stitch that measures 54.4cm x 105.8cm (300 x 583 grid area) when stitched on 14-count Aida cloth. You’ll need 99 different DMC colours and will complete 174,900 cross stitches.
The finished piece has incredible detail, but BE WARNED, there is a lot of confetti and similar-toned thread.
PLEASE NOTE: We recommend using the Pattern Keeper App to manage this complex project, so we’ve included an extra chart in your download pack that has been specially formatted for PK.
The Artist
William-Adolphe Bouguereau was a French painter who lived between 1825 – 1905. He completed more than 800 paintings during his career and at the height of his popularity, was celebrated for his realistic (yet very romantic) interpretations of Greek Mythology and classical scenes.
