Description
Our Jemima Puddle-duck cross stitch pattern was inspired by the front cover of Beatrix Potter’s famous book. Clueless Jemima has met a very civil (and handsome gentleman) while wandering the wood. She agrees to lay her precious batch of eggs in his garden shed and is not even slightly suspicious of the vast quantity of feathers (or her host’s sharp teeth and red bushy tail).
The Project
This is a cutaway cross stitch so you’ll only be stitching Jemima and her calculating companion and the wooded pathway. The finished piece measures 25.4cm x 30.5 cm when stitched on 14-count Aida cloth, but you’ll only be completing 22,196 stitches. You’ll need 90 different DMC colours to recreate Jemima Puddleduck.
Please note: There is an extra chart for the Pattern Keeper App in your download pack and there are NO backstitches.
More Beatrix Potter?
We adored Beatrix Potter growing up and are keen to chart many more of her funny animal characters. Who are your favourites? We grew up with Timmy Tiptoes, the Flopsy Bunnies, and the two bad mice (Tom Thumb and Hunca Munca). To stitch your own favourites check our store category dedicated to Beatrix Potter cross stitch.
