Description
Lily Fairy in the Forest cross stitch pattern was inspired by a 19th century painting by Spanish artist Luis Ricardo Falero. We just love the how soft cornflower blue tones create a misty appearance around the lily fairy’s gentle wings, as well as the amazing texture of the ferns, flowers, and tree foliage.
The Project
This is a very large, full coverage cross stitch pattern and the finished piece measures 36.3 x 72.6cm when stitched on 14-count Aida cloth (200 x 400 grid area). You’ll need 100 different DMC colours to recreate the exquisite detail in the lily fairy’s wings, slip dress, and forest home. The project has 80,000 cross stitches.
PATTERN KEEPER: due to the size and complexity of this cross stitch we recommend using Pattern Keeper App to manage Lily Fairy in the Forest cross stitch. You’ll find an extra PK chart in your download pack.
The Artist
Luis Ricardo Falero was a Spanish painter who lived between 1851 and 1896 who painted the most amazing female nudes, mythical scenes, and fantasy paintings. We are thrilled to recreate them here in cross stitch just for you.
