Our Little Farmer cross stitch was inspired by a vintage pattern from the early 20th century. We think this cute little farmer boy chewing on strand of hay seed is perfect for rural-themed wall or kid’s room.
Little Farmer cross stitch was originally designed in one colour and published in a children’s embroidery book. For our project, we’ve vamped up the pattern using contemporary DMC colours and added a little bit of back stitch.
You’ll only be completing 600 stitches in 5 different DMC colours. Measuring 4.7cm x 8.2cm, it’s perfectly sized for greeting cards, small canvas totes, and bamboo hoop decorations. Check the gallery to see how we stitched it up.
