Monochrome Sunflower Cross Stitch Pattern

$8.40 USD

This stunning cross stitch project captures the essence of a bright yellow flower — using only black thread.

The design has extraordinary texture and cleverly replicates the fine detail of the broad leaves, layered petals, and spent florets.

Description

Monochrome Sunflower cross stitch was inspired by a 1919 woodcut by Dutch painter and graphic artist Julie de Graag.

It’s a great big sunflower in full bloom and the design includes the fine detail of the tall stem, broad leaves, and spent florets. In monochrome.

The Project

We are thrilled to develop this cross stitch pattern and have done our best to retain its authentic vintage appeal by including the artist’s insignia (with date). But if you don’t like the insignia, you can easily leave it.

What’s great about this project is you only need one colour (black thread) when stitched on 14 count white Aida cloth. It’s a large cross stitch though, and the finished project measures 45.2cm x 61cm.
