Description

Our Portraits in the Countryside cross stitch pattern is a beautiful replica of the 1876 painting by French painter Gustave Caillebotte. It’s an intimate family scene in a simply gorgeous country garden.

The Painting

This beautiful oil painting is named Portraits à la Campagne and features the artists cousin Zoe (as well as his mum and other female relatives). It was presented to Zoe when she got married. The painting is on display at the Baron Gerard Museum in France.

The Project

This is a large, full coverage cross stitch measuring 63.1cm x 53.2cm and requiring more than 90 different DMC colours. We think you’ll love stitching this intimate scene, especially the bright red floral garden in the background.

PLEASE NOTE: your download pack includes an extra chart that has been formatted for Pattern Keeper. Due to the size and complexity of the chart we recommend using Pattern Keeper App to manage your project.
