Description
Our Little Flower Pot cross stitch pattern was inspired by traditional Quaker embroidery stitched in the 18th and 19th century. Your charts include 3 x colour variations including shell pink, plum, and apricot.
It would make a beautiful greeting card, bookmark — or as part of a full cross stitch sampler.
Historical embroidery
If you’re interested in the history of embroidery, check the Benton County Historical Society for examples of the little flower pot cross stitch in an actual vintage sampler (Susanna S. Furman, 1831). You’ll also find variations of the little floral spray on the famous Ann Grimshaw sampler.
More Quaker Cross Stitch?
Apart from this little floral motif, we have a growing selection of Quaker medallions and motifs that we have charted from antique samplers and historical photographs.
