Description
Quaker Thistle Motif cross stitch is a replica of floral motif widely used on embroidery samplers in the 18-19th centuries. This little design is perfect for greeting cards, canvas mini totes, and larger embroidery samplers.
Historical Embroidery
If you are interested in the history of embroidery, check the Benton County Historical Society for examples of this medallion displayed in vintage samplers. We’ve also seen this same Quaker thistle motif on the famous Ann Grimshaw cross stitch sampler of 1818.
