Salon Bratz Cross Stitch Pattern

$10.08 USD

Marvin Raphael Original

Cross stitch just stepped onto the runway.

Forget the baby’s breath and carnations, how about cross stitching platform heels, willowed features, and a hand-cut jacket?

This stunning new cross stitch will look amazing on unbleached linen or natural toned Aida.

Description

Make your favourite wall space a fashion design trend with Marvin Raphael Monfort’s original Salon Bratz cross stitch pattern.

A Bratz Doll, a fabulous haircut, and a painting (using sparkling cosmetics) were the inspiration behind this fantastic project.

PLEASE NOTE: this is not a full coverage project and you’ll only be completing 16,630 stitches (natural 14 count Aida cloth).

The Salon Girl

In Montfort’s own words …

The original drawing was inspired by the dolls with a passion for fashion — but proportions closer to fashion sketches. The ‘jacket’ was actually sliced away so the board can be placed against any interesting background (and this background is one of my cosmetic paintings (large eyes) in my signature style).

THE ARTIST
Marvin Raphael Monfort is an artist, writer, and fashion designer from the Western Visayan region of the Philippines. We just love his anime and textile art, as well as his signature use of cosmetics and fashion objects as raw materials. Check out more of his work exclusive to Cross Stitch Patterns Online.
