Description
Star of the Hero cross stitch pattern was inspired by a mystical painting from 1936 by philosopher and peace activist Nicholas Roerich. The original painting is a spectacular nightscape and we’ve condensed it down to a pocket-sized piece for your desk or mini-tote.
The Project
This is a small, fun project that has just 4,800 stitches and measures 14.5cm x 10.9cm (when stitched on 14 count Aida cloth).
To pack all of the detail of Roerich’s mystical stargazer we used 38 different DMC thread tones, but some of these threads only require 1-3 stitches. To get all the detail into your cross stitch, we suggest following the pattern as charted.
PATTERN KEEPER: check your download pack for an extra chart that you can use with the Pattern Keeper App. PK makes cross stitching so much more fun.
The Artist
Nicholas Roerich was a Russian artist, philosopher and peace activist. He is famous for his mystical paintings of the Himalayas and ancient Russia. Keep calling back to the store as we add more amazing cross stitch projects featuring the art and vision of Nicholas Roerich.
