Our terrier dog cross stitch pattern was inspired by a 1920 woodcut print by Dutch painter and graphic artist Julie de Graag. It’s a beautiful interpretation of a terrier dog’s head in simple black and white.
We think you’ll love stitching the intricate detail of the dog’s markings, soft eyes, and quiet personality. Using 14-count black Aida cloth and only white thread, it looks quite spectacular.
This chart is best stitched using only white thread on black Aida cloth. The original artwork by Julie de Graag has a narrow black border on the very edge, so we’ve left 2x black rows/columns to represent this border. We’ve also included the original artist’s insignia in the charts, but you just leave it out if you don’t like it.
The finished piece measures 43.7cm x 47cm when stitched on 14-count Aida and you’ll be completing 30,211 stitches. To make things even easier, your download pack includes an extra chart that has been specially formatted for the Pattern Keeper App.
