Description
Turkeys have been popular embroidery subjects since embroidery folk first held a needle, especially on vintage samplers. For generations the turkey has been stitched as a symbol of prosperity, thanksgiving, and bountiful harvest.
Turkey Icon cross stitch pattern was found in a 16th Century book of cross stitch patterns, produced in Europe by an unknown author. We have replicated it here for you to stitch.
16th Century Animal Series
Check out the other designs from the same pattern book. There all similar shapes and sizes — perfect for greeting cards, mini-hoop decorations, or full samplers.
