Description
Winter Nymph cross stitch pattern is a gorgeous personification of the Winter in crisp snow-tones. If winter’s your favourite season we think you’ll love this stylish symbol of rest, spirituality, and quiet regrowth.
The Artwork
The chart was inspired by a 19th century set of decorative wall panels personifying the four seasons. The series was so popular, the artist, Alphonse Mucha was commissioned to create another two sets based on the same theme.
The Project
Stretching 72cm from top to bottom and requiring 77,415 stitches this is a very big project. Are you up for the challenge? If you do decide to tackle this fantastic piece or art we strongly recommend using Pattern Keeper App to map your progress. Look for the extra PK chart in your download pack.
Matching Charts
Check out the other charts in Alphonse Mucha’s 1896 Four Seasons Series and cross stitch the whole cycle of nature — Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
The Artist
Alphonse Mucha was a Czech painter and illustrator who lived between 1860 and 1939 and was part of the original Art Nouveau movement in Paris. We are thrilled to recreate some of Mucha’s most famous works (including three variations of the Four Season Series) in cross stitch for you.
